Personally, I loved this book. It is a one-stop resource for a whole lot of sex related information and definitely a book that will be added to my collection with a permanent place on my bookshelf where I can refer to it often. It has a little bit of everything for lovers; sex magic, Feng Shui for eroticism, love rituals, dance rituals for lovers, mantras, meditation, chakra work, erotic telepathy, subliminal seduction, aphrodisiacs, Kama Sutra love positions, recipes for love, dream work, a dream dictionary, and more.

Mabel Iam is a different type of sexual advice writer. She offers a deeply insightful book about magical eroticism and the conscious use of sexual energy to enhance the bonds between lovers. She describes magical ecstasy as the experience of sexuality as a spiritual communion with your partner. She discusses how to solve your problems as a couple through the magic of sex by giving advice on how to rekindle passion, recover desire, and how to set your fantasies free. She has a sacred plan to help you connect to your lover and be eternal partners.

I found this book to be a fascinating read with a whole new approach to making your love life better. This isn't your everyday self-help book. It doesn't offer the traditional advice and self help sex psychology a person may be used to from other 'improve your sex life' books. This book goes much deeper. It touches on your inner self, your inner sexual wants and needs and helps you learn how to share those with your lover, not just the psychological, but the inner spiritual and mystical parts of ourselves that we often do not know are there. This isn't just a sex life makeover; this is a book that can help you totally transform your sex life and sexual relationship from the inside out.

Sex and the Erotic Lover can help you raise your sexual awareness and become a true sexual being, not someone who just acts it out and makes all the right moves. You can learn to really connect with yourself and your partner on a sexual and spiritual level. This is a book about eroticism and how to become an erotic lover on the purest level.

I would love to be able to use all her advice, though for me I think it would take a lifetime to implement and use everything in this book, though I am slowly working it into my hectic schedule. I wish I could totally focus on meditating, visualizing, doing erotic exercises and sexy rituals with my husband everyday but unfortunately we have a very busy life with very little extra time to do anything. I think a romantic vacation getaway should be planned and this book will be coming along; a second honeymoon to help us reconnect.

Most women would probably have a hard time getting their husbands involved in the rituals and exercises in this book but all I would have to do is tell my husband sex is involved and he'd be all for it. He'll come running and be more than ready, willing and able. Showing him the diagrams that depict some of the sexual positions of the Kama-Sutra are enough to get his attention. I see a few I wouldn't mind trying myself; The Tiger, The Courtesan, The Horseman, and The Goddess all look really good to me.

If you're not into self-help, new age books do not bother with this one. It is not for the closed minded skeptic. This book is for the sexually adventurous and deeply spiritual people who are willing to try all kinds of new things to improve their sex lives as well as their lives in whole. This book has the power to change your love life. Open your mind and check it out. I will definitely be trying a few of Mabel Iam's exercises and rituals for the erotic lover.
