Delving through the Halloween submission, I arrived to one conclusion. Halloween or the spirit of dark erotica cannot be limited to one day. So fret not, those of you that have submitted work that is yet to appear. We're still having fun with dark offerings, and will place them where they deserve to be placed - in the new section, Dark Erotica.

There are news, and there are news. We’re not going to focus on the drastic financial upheaval that is affecting the globe, even if it did shake our tree this week, raising many questions relating to the financial activities that keep this magazine afloat. The good news is that after a fortnight of conferring, we’ve decided that all stories that have been submitted are still being considered, and we will be advising writers of the outcome within the next week. We’re rearranging our publishing schedule, so that we publish stories received over the last couple of months into 2009. We haven’t picked a date yet, but submissions will be closed over the December-January holiday period, but that will be updated on the submission guidelines.

There has been a lot of interest in the Halloween themed issue. Replies will be sent to the writers whose stories will appear at the end of October, but first thing is first, we have been wrestling with a few minor technical issues here, particularly with our email servers. Some days they work, other days they don't (and return mail to us). Even though we do have a Gmail fowarding address (where all email is forwarded), I'd like to mention the Gmail address here. We can also be reached on

This week begins with sad news, the death of Yves Saint Laurent, and will continue on a positive and sexier note, with the latest Shop 'Til You Drop item: The Lelo Gigi sex accessory. In Author News, we have the latest on Alessia Brio's anthology, Coming Together: With Pride. Erin O'Riordan asks the important question: Should you be using non-latex condoms? The article will surprise and educate. Erotic fiction this week features new writer Bride Cymbelina and her story Three Things, which explores the interesting things that take place when a sex jar enters a relationship. Art this week is headlined by Molly Crabapple. We explore her illustrations, inspiration and vivid outlook, and present some of her most recent artwork. There is always something brand spanking new to add. We have added an Events calendar to promote erotic related events and we are open to promoting anything and everything, from art to book launches. If you would like your event to be added to the Event calendar, please send an email through to
