Lucrezia Magazine is always on the lookout for quality erotica, informative essays, articles, art, and focuses on a variety of themes; we aren't a site that focuses on erotica for one specific gender, or orientation. We prefer to expand the net, and explore various sexual orientations. **Current needs: Articles on pop culture, sexuality, fashion, relationships ** Due to the unanticipated number of Halloween themed articles, we have been delayed in responding to mainstream erotica submissions. If you're uncertain about us receiving your submission, it's likely that we have received it. We are working toward responding to all submissions
FictionWe seek scenery, characterization and dialogue; characters within a story interact with other characters, and stories are required to reflect this. We think erotica: sass, pathos, action, motivation, humor, passion, joie de vivre, and sensuality. There are many more key words we can think of, but these are the essential ingredients we consider foremost. There is no limit to the ambience. In general, stories that engage a reader on a realistic level and have a life on their own. We are not looking for blog entries, or men magazine styled 'hot letters.' PoetryUnfortunately, we aren't accepting poetry submissions at this point, as we don't currently have a poetry editor onhand. Watch this space or view our blog for future updates. Serialized FictionWe no long accept serialized fiction. This is based on one submission over the past five months, and one brief proposition which we were unable to accept. Confessions/OpinionThis section may be thought of as creative non-fiction. Each item is to contain a point or make some statement. Lucrezia isn't shy, and does not err on the side of political correctness, but please keep in mind that we're not aroused by libelous content. We won't tolerate celebrity gossip or innuendo. ** NEW ** Blog ExcerptsThis is a new section that will aim to present quality blog excerpts. We are looking at comprehensive posts that may include erotic fiction, insights, or experiences. New blogs are quite welcome, as it can be a daunting task to commence a blog and generate readership. Payment for each blog excerpt at this point in time will be identical to the rate for articles, but will be paid via Paypal only. All submission emails should have 'Blog Excerpt' on the subject header due to the magazine spam filter. The main criterion for blogs is that the blog needs to be more than three months old. Please note, that this section is about writing, not business promotion. E.g. we won't accept excerpts that are blurbs on upcoming publications. Should editors/publishers wish to promote upcoming book releases, please email us and add 'Promotion' on the subject of the email, however please bear in mind we don't pay to promote businesses. **NEW** PhotoessayThis section is for the writer/photographer. You don't have to be a professional photographer for this section. Articles/ReviewsA reviewer is required to have intimate knowledge of their topic (displaying their research skills), and consider audience first. Is the topic informative, useful or enlightening? We aren't looking for 'lite' reviews. Commissioned ArticlesWe may, on occasion, approach writers for specific articles. The rates for our commissioned articles will vary from the standard rates. Please refer to our payment section below, for further information. Our selection process is based on quality and verve. 3. All publications have to adhere to legal guidelines. We will not publish work that is steered by sexual violence (mental or physical). We will flatly reject content that contains incest, snuff, violence, bestiality, necrophilia, rape, pedophilia, underage sex, rape fantasy or any stories describing adults engaging in non-consensual sex. 'Reluctant sex' still falls under non-consent, and all stories containing reluctant sex scenes will be rejected outright. This publisher is not a fan of 'she said no, but meant yes,' literature. FORMATTING DON'TSPlease don't use whacky word processing programs that don't conform to standard Word. If you're not 100% comfortable with your story's formatting, then you can't be certain if we will be able to read it as it ought to be read. The onus is on you, as a writer, to ensure your story is readable. Art/PhotographyArtists/Photographers are to submit work in JPEG/GIF format with optimal PPI or DPI (minimum 72 pixels per inch). Each image should not exceed 1MB. If the art is photographic, the photographer is required to verify the age of the models. All models within photographic images are required to be over 18 years of age. If you require more information, please consult our art/photography editor. The work selected is up to the artist/photographer. You can submit a small portfolio of the images. Please don't send us extensive biographies and links to your pages and presume that we have time to go through all your work. We review submissions each day, and don't have time to inspect endless albums and/or galleries to select something. As far as we are concerned you are the artist and it is up to you to showcase the work you wish to showcase. The only exception to above is during periods where we approach artists/photographers ourselves.
PaymentAll quoted amounts are in US currency and will be paid within 30 days of publication.
Long Fiction (minimum 1000 words, maximum 6000 words): $20.00 Photoessay: $15.00 Photography:$20.00 Note: The above payments may be amended at the publisher's discretion.
